Stage School Fees - 2006 / 2007

CLASS / DATE CHANGES : After 2 years at the same rate, class fees will be increasing slightly. However, in comparison with other local & national stage schools, we think you will still find LMA to be incredibly good value for money… And don’t forget to bring your Buddies to classes (please pre-warn us of Buddies for the first day of the September term), & earn a fiver off your own fees for each new member!… a healthy membership will help us to keep fees down in the long-term. The Adult Dance class would particularly welcome new members (Saturday 3.20-4.10). WOULD ALL FRIDAY NIGHT MEMBERS PLEASE NOTE that the Autumn term starts on 15th Sept, and the 22nd Sept will be at Thurston Primary School (the first Saturday of term is 16th Sept).

DANCE WORKSHOPS : These will run as 4-week courses for £28, if there is sufficient demand. Topics to be covered will include Contemporary Dance, choreography & ballet, but the next course is Street Dance. If you are interested PLEASE phone/ e-mail (note the new addy) us well before term starts, stating any unavailable parts of Saturday for you….or return the form enclosed with this letter. We will inform those who sign up if we have enough interest to run the courses.

PRIVATE LESSONS : We are pleased to be able to offer private lessons (on Saturdays) in the following subjects: Piano (Jazz/Rock/ Classical), Singing (all styles), Violin, Music Theory, Dance (all styles), acting, speech & drama. Please enquire at reception for times, costs, etc.

CLOTHES : Please make sure you are up-to-date with your uniform, which from September will be more strictly enforced. Don’t forget, students are expected to wear BLACK, and trousers/ shoes in which you can move easily (NO JEANS FOR FOOTLOOSE CLASSES): this is in order to create a more professional working atmosphere. T-shirts, hoodies & jazz shoes are available from reception — we can also get more up-market jazz & dance shoes (please ask at reception).

The fee includes: use of specified equipment, sheet music & scripts during the class, and visiting tutors brought in to cover specialist aspects of your studies.
In addition to the regular weekly classes there may be additional rehearsals for those who successfully audition for the production - at no extra cost. Solo vocal / acting coaching will be provided at the normal rates only if deemed absolutely necessary by the Production Director and agreed to by the student and his/her parent/guardian before the production is cast.

The fee does not include: uniform, extra workshops held outside normal classes, trips to see professional productions, & festival entry fees (all the above are optional), or transport to perform in concerts etc.(coaches provided for long-distance journeys, priced accordingly).
Tickets for student performances are also extra: where arranged internally they will be kept to a minimum to cover costs; where students are performing in public by invitation of other organizations ticket prices will be advised. Parents are not obliged to attend!
Individual recording projects are extra.

All fees are due at the beginning of each term.
A late payment fee will be charged for fees not paid on or before the first day of term.
